Wildlife Art and Pet Portraits by Carol Wells
"There are only two ways to live your life -
One is as though nothing is a miracle,
The other is as though everything is."
- Albert Einstein
A native of Ohio, Carol moved to Texas as a teen with her family. She graduated from the University of Houston (Art Education/English) and worked for over twenty years in graphic arts and publishing before devoting full-time to pet portraits in 2000. Having painted over 1,500 portraits in watercolor, Carol now divides her time between pet portraits and wildlife painting. She enjoys gardening with native plants, and volunteers with The Wildlife Center of Texas, learning to care for injured and orphaned wildlife.
